Job Description
Looking for casual work?
We are always looking for people to join our casual register.
Rooftop may engage individuals from time to time as casual workers. It is not an employment contract and does not grant employment rights beyond those to which workers are legally entitled.
Importantly, the agreement does not impose any obligation on the casual worker to accept work, nor does it require Rooftop to offer work. There is no mutual commitment between the parties regarding future work.
Working hours will vary based on Rooftop’s operational needs. Casual workers will be notified of the required hours for each assignment.
Casual workers will be paid for the actual hours worked. The standard hourly rate (the “Fee”) will be specified prior to commencement of each assignment.
Wages are paid monthly in arrears, on the 24th of each month, via bank transfer for hours worked during the previous calendar month.
Holiday entitlement is calculated based on the number of hours worked and is pro-rated against a full-time entitlement of 28 days per holiday year (including the eight standard public holidays in England and Wales). Rooftop’s holiday year runs from April to March.
Holiday pay will be calculated using the applicable hourly rate for the assignment.
When work is available, we will give you as much notice as reasonably practicable.
Each assignment may vary in nature, and you may be asked to take on different tasks to support business needs. Full details will be provided at the start of each assignment.
We value diversity and welcome applications from all sectors of the community.
Simply fill out an application form, and if an opportunity becomes available, we will get in touch with the details.
